They are therefore in high demand and are more costly than carpets from neighboring areas.. The motifs of Meimeh rugs are geometric patterns with a single diamond-shaped medallion that contains many other smaller diamond medallions inside. The colours are dominated by dark red and powerful blue with ivory, forming a beautiful contrast.
The texture is soft wool with a thin, tight pile.
Warps is mostly of cotton; wefts is wool.
